What is R.E.M.?

R.E.M. (Evangelistic Missionary Network) is an evangelical mission in Italy that within a few years has developed a national network with the vision of helping the Italian evangelical churches to proclaim the Gospel in their local reality and unite believers of different denominations with the purpose to realize projects that have a social and mediatic impact in our nation.

We firmly believe that our evangelical reality needs a “teamwork”. In this regard, mission R.E.M. encourages churches, associations and evangelical movements to collaborate with the same vision.

Through an interdenominational network, we propose:

– To develop union and synergy between evangelicals, in love, prayer, and evangelization

– To exhort and train believers who are born again christian to live a consecrated life to God

– Develop long-term evangelistic projects (Bus: Mobile Mission, Local Evangelization: Outside the Walls)

– Create events with a mediatic impact (March for Jesus: Destination D)

– To actively support workers through prayer, donation, and action.

– A national network also gives to those who have a missionary project to draw and share resources, enriching and forming the body of Christ.

A RESOURCE FOR THE CHURCH

We want the evangelical Christian church to consider R.E.M. as an enrichment, a resource through which to gain support in training and evangelization. In this sense, we will move, avoiding being an association that only gives theory being present virtually in the activities that the local church carries out. We want to be a real support to the church and not a further commitment that takes away the space and resources.

Gradually, we would like to have such influence as to encourage believers to be more involved in local activities. Through practical experience and theoretical training, we want to implement a missionary mentality unintended as something “extraordinary,” but as something “ordinary” that reflects a lifestyle devoted to God.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

– We believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible, in its perfect authority and inerrancy

– We believe in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

– We believe in the perfect divinity of Jesus Christ, in His complete humanity, in His expiatory work, and in His imminent return.

– We believe in the Holy Spirit, in His divinity, in His personality, and in His action in the Church. We believe that it is received at the time of conversion.

– We believe that all humanity lives separated from God, in a spiritual death, slave of sin and under the rule of Satan.

– We believe in the justification of man for the grace of God alone, in Jesus Christ, and that it is obtained by faith only.

– We believe in the need for repentance and new birth that lead to a life of consecration and sanctification through the work of the Holy Spirit.

– We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the universal Church and that the latter is constituted by those who have been redeemed by his sacrifice.

– We believe in the resurrection of all men, in the eternal life of redeemers, and in the eternal separation from God of unrepentant sinners
